OVERVIEW

Byxa [v u h a] ("Ears" in Ukrainian) - is a little improved version of a well-known creation of Tom Whitwell and Émilie Gillet's "Ears". So what does this module do? Pretty simple: a sound that comes to the module via "In" input (or built-in piezo) disparts on its gate and envelope components, which are instantly available as CV sources from dedicated outputs.

When there is no cable inserted into "In" input, the piezoelectric sensor located under the fingerprint-shaped pattern becomes the sound source. So by tapping on the module and scratching the textured surface, you can get interesting envelopes and triggers.

The "Out" socket provides the duplicated signal that comes via "In" or if nothing is there, it offers the raw sound of the contact mic.

And what do these switches on the panel do? So basically they duplicate connectors that were originally located on the back of the board, which is for sure not so useful when you want to play with them on the fly.

- Top left switch responds for Gate Detect threshold - it allows you to configure the triggering when 1, 2 or 4 volts

- Top right switch responds for Attack Envelope time - Slow/Mid/Fast

- Bottom switch responds for Decay Envelope time - Slow/Mid/Fast
