8HP Eurorack Resonator inspired by Mutable Instruments Rings

nRings is a compact Mutable Instruments Rings clone for Eurorack systems. It brings physical modelling synthesis and resonator processing to a space-efficient 8HP format while retaining the functionality and sonic character of the original design.

The module transforms triggers, noise, oscillators and external audio into plucked strings, resonant percussion, bells, drones and evolving harmonic textures. Using advanced resonator models and sympathetic string simulation, nRings can generate complex acoustic and synthetic sounds from even the simplest input signals, making it suitable for ambient music, experimental synthesis, generative patches and sound design.

Compared to the original Mutable Instruments Rings, nRings offers identical functionality in a reduced footprint while remaining fully compatible with established patching techniques and firmware. Every nRings module is assembled, calibrated and tested individually by Sylph Modular.
