8HP Eurorack Topographic Drum Sequencer inspired by Mutable Instruments Grids

uGrids is a compact Mutable Instruments Grids clone for Eurorack systems. It generates dynamic drum patterns using a unique topographic sequencing approach, allowing rhythms to evolve naturally while remaining musically coherent.

The module provides three trigger outputs designed for kick, snare and hi-hat style voices. Instead of traditional step programming, uGrids navigates a virtual map of rhythmic patterns using dedicated controls and CV inputs. This approach enables smooth transitions between grooves and rhythmic structures, making the module particularly suitable for generative percussion, evolving sequences and performance-oriented patching.

Probability controls and density adjustments allow patterns to range from minimal and sparse to dense and energetic. Whether used as a complete drum sequencer or as a source of rhythmic triggers for modulation and events, uGrids introduces controlled variation and movement into a Eurorack system. Every module is assembled, calibrated and tested individually by Sylph Modular.
