OVERVIEW
Mutable Instruments Elements Clone | Sylph Modular Corpusculum
18HP Eurorack Physical Modelling Synthesizer inspired by Mutable Instruments Elements
Corpusculum is a compact Mutable Instruments Elements clone for Eurorack systems. It brings the complete Elements physical modelling engine to an efficient 18HP format while preserving the playability and hands-on control that make the original design unique.
The module combines an exciter, resonator and extensive modulation capabilities to generate plucked strings, bowed instruments, struck objects, wind-like textures, drones and complex acoustic timbres. From realistic physical modelling to experimental sound design, Corpusculum can function as a complete synthesizer voice or as a resonator for external audio sources.
Several compact Elements derivatives have appeared over the years, often prioritizing panel density and reduced size. Corpusculum was designed with a different goal: preserving comfortable spacing between controls while maintaining a highly compact footprint. The result is an 18HP implementation that remains practical for everyday patching and performance without sacrificing accessibility.
High-quality metal-shaft potentiometers with panel-mounted construction provide a solid and reliable feel during use. Combined with a carefully designed panel layout, this makes Corpusculum equally suitable for studio work, live performance and long-term system integration.
Every Corpusculum module is assembled, calibrated and tested individually by Sylph Modular.

Why Corpusculum?
Corpusculum was designed for users seeking a compact Elements implementation without sacrificing usability. The 18HP format provides substantial space savings compared to the original module while retaining comfortable control spacing and robust panel-mounted pots.
Many compact Elements-derived designs focus primarily on reducing panel width. Corpusculum takes a more balanced approach, combining an efficient 18HP footprint with a layout designed for everyday patching and performance. High-quality metal-shaft potentiometers secured directly to the front panel provide a solid and reliable feel during use.
Users familiar with compact Elements implementations such as Quarks or Atom may appreciate Corpusculum's combination of reduced size, comfortable control spacing and durable panel-mounted controls.
The result is a physical modelling synthesizer that remains enjoyable to patch, perform and explore over extended sessions while occupying significantly less rack space than the original Elements.
